industrial teaholes...
Teahole outing in North Portland industrial area. February 2006. For these images I used a simpler "film holder", just a strip of plastic cut 7 inches long from a black report binder. The film itself is cut from 120 rolls and held in place on the holder with hair clips. Inside the tea cannister the film and holder curves into position as a gentle "C". Unfortunately this roll had xray damage from one of our international relocations. Still the results aren't so bad to keep me from trying again with good film... The pinholes for these images were cut, bored, and polished from an empty can of Guinness Draught. This probably accounts for the generally beery bokeh. For the next outing I will try two new tins fitted with "lenses" made from thinner brass shim stock... Twinings Earl Grey "teahole". Ilford Pan F+, PMK. |
