fresh parsley...

Teshka starts an herb garden on the 4th of July.

The planter box here is a rough metal trunk fabricated from scraps of junk by resourceful artisans in Guinea, West Africa. We packed stuff in it for our return trip in 2002.

So far it has worked well in its new role. I drilled some holes in the bottom for drainage. Then, after planting, we decided this location was too hot for the young vegs. So we simply picked up the box by the handles and moved it into a more protected spot on the other side of the yard.

Over the past couple weeks we have been getting plenty of fresh parsley. I think we are just about ready now for Peak Oil.
