footbridge in rainforest...

Olympic Peninsula, Washington State, November 2004.

En route to Canada on our "2004 Election Escape" trip. The rain was solid at this stop, fresh and cleansing.

The footbridge here was built with lovely aesthetic form and natural found materials. It also appeared very solid, "hell built for stout" as we say.

This photo was made way back in the time before I discovered TLRs. On this trip I was using a big Fuji rangefinder, sometimes loaded with TXP in 220 size to get more frames per roll than the usual 8.

Of course I would have preferred Ilford HP5+, but, alas, very few films are available in 220 anymore.

Fuji GW690-III, Kodak TXP(220).
