heceta jump...

We made an attempt to get a jump shot here at Heceta Head on our 5th anniversary, keeping a tradition begun on our original honeymoon.

So we set up the Rolleiflex on a rock, released the self-timer, raced into the frame and began jumping like pogo-sticks.

The self-timer on the Rolleiflex doen't have any sort of countdown indicator, so there is no way to know exactly when the shutter will release. In fact, the shutter on the Rollei is so quiet, it is usually not possible to hear it even when it has released. So we just keep jumping, just in case, hoping to be airborne at the decisive moment.

This was the best of our efforts.
