Our Sunday promenade takes us past the Place des Nations Unies.

We have chosen to live without a car here, so most of our sorties are on foot. One benefit of this arrangement is that we may see some interesting features of the ville, up close and personal.

The downside is that many of the paths we walk are also used as public latrines. The area in this neighborhood is especially pungent.

Of course the smell is something that doesn't come across in photographs. You can be thankful.
