L'Abeille d'Or (the Golden Bee) is owned by a friendly Lebanese family, as are many of the small businesses around Lomé. We enjoy a meal of falafel, tabouleh, fresh juice, and Perrier.

Ahh, then for dessert! But what to choose? There are so many beautiful things here! The display case is filled with fresh baked pastries.

Today we settle on a small cup of café, and a morsel of wonderfully rich pistachio baklava dripping with sweet honey.
