out for a spin...

In Paris one cannot go too far in any direction without seeing a carousel. Even in the cold, we found a few well-bundled children with their parents enjoying a spin. And the gay music and colorful whirling lights make for a little respite against the seeping grey winter.

I have noticed that carousels tend to go 'round counter-clockwise. So, for awhile, one may reverse the direction of time.
