cruising the western isles...

The ferry between Oban and Mull is only 45 minutes. But for us, traveling among the Hebrides was like entering another world, another time.

Our boat itself seemed huge and luxurious, with many decks, snack bars, whisky lounges, and other diversions. Far too much to do and see in such a short time. We felt like we could have spent a full week just riding the ferry, exploring and relaxing.

As it was, we spent most of the short journey on the outside deck, intoxicated with fresh air and fantastic scenery.
