I've mentioned before the difficulty of getting pussy in Tirana.

Well, the kitty here is one of the exceptions to the rule. We met him on the road in front of our house this past winter, and he ran right up to us to get some pets.

What a friendly little fellow!

We called him "Popcorn", both for his light brown and white, popcorn-kernel-like coloration, and because he was always popping up to say hello and snag a few pets.

Pretty soon we were getting him some kitty food and he started hanging out on our front porch. Most nights he slept right up against the front door, huddled in a furball on the welcome mat against the winter cold.
